Bring The Heat!!
You love the hot stuff and quite frankly we love it to. It has become so popular that we are beginning a mission to bring the country’s greatest hot sauces, salsa and “hot” products to our website. We would love to here from you about your favorites. Tell us about the sauce that blew your mind and taste buds away. Tell us about your Dad’s secret wing sauce that no one but him and your brother could even stomach. Did you win the hot pepper eating contest at the county fair? Tell us about it. We want to build a store devoted to all of your Hot Favorites! With baseball spring training getting under way this week we’ll quote Major League, one of our favorite baseball laughers: “Forget about the curve ball Ricky, give him the HEATER!” So bring us your heater stories and favorites and we’ll post them here and on our facebook page.

The Perfect Gift for Kids and their Parents
Still looking for that perfect gift for kids, I found it!
Get ready moms, dads, grandparents, friends and neighbors because ZEBRA MIX is one of the coolest things I’ve seen. As a teacher and a mom who loves to be in the kitchen with my kiddos, this takes the cake. Or cupcake. Or brownie. Or cookie. Because they offer baking kits designed just for kids with fully illustrated instructional “Safari Baking Maps” that walk kids step by step through the process of making a delicious treat. It incorporates Math skills (fantastic!) As well as language arts – reading skills, following directions and fun word puzzles.
True to it’s promise, my kids took turns, worked together and we had more fun in the kitchen than we ever have had before.
Zebra Mix has created a whole line of baking activity kits in a variety of price ranges. Of course, each kit includes all the dry ingredients and their patent pending Safari Baking Map with two levels of learning and fun games and activities, this is what really makes it smart. We have tried every product and the taste and quality of learning is exceptional, my favorite is their award winning Zebra Cupcake in a Treasure Tin . This kit won The National Parenting Centers Seal for 2010 and I can see why!

The National Parenting Center Seal
For those kids who love to exercise their creativity, check out the Cupcake Studio Baking Activity Kit and the ORGANIC (yes 100% organic) Flour Power Cookie Baking Activity Kit (add hyperlink). The Cupcake Decorating Studio comes with a special zebra stripped decorating pen, all natural decorating sugars and all the ingredients to make amazing cupcakes and the Cookie baking Activity Kit has a perfectly weighted rolling pin for kids (great for clay too). The Safari Baking Map has all these cool creative ideas for decorating the cookies/cupcakes, not like the traditional follow a stencil, these kits are all about bringing out creativity in kids! As a mom this is what I care about!

There’s enough candy to keep the guests happy throughout the whole holiday season. Perfect for the coffee table and a steal at $34.99. Boys and Ghouls of all ages will love it!!
The weather outside is cooling (unless you live in Texas, like me). The leaves are turning and its the beginning of the Holiday Season is upon us. First up, my favorite – Halloween! I am just a big kid at heart and I am so glad I have kids of my own because I can put on a costume and head out on the trick or treat trail (If I was by myself, I imagine I would get arrested). A lot of folks from young to old are opting for Halloween parties these days and we have the perfect take along for you. Our Halloween box is a mix of Halloween treats and novelties and some nostalgic, retro candy that is sure to please. At only 20 bucks it won’t put a big strain on you treat bag either. Summertime and Radar O’Reilly
Well summer is in full swing and from Houston, Texas where I write this post, it has reached “miserable” hot much sooner than usual. If only there were a “Ground Hog’s Day” type event to rush the onset of fall but without much relief in sight I give you a link to some our summertime favorites. Old school, super cold and refreshing when iced in cooler, glass bottle sodas. Take a look at our selection of regional and nostalgic favorites. From Radar O’Reilly’s favorite, Grape Nehi, to regional favorites like Sun Drop, Red Rock and Big Red, there something in there that you’ll want on the beach, by the pool or inside with the A/C (like me).
Introducing Crossroads-Market!
Welcome to the new www.Crossroads-Market.com , the most unique shopping experience you will find on the web!
Crossroads-Market is brought to you the same people who have given you www.hometownfavorites.com and the reason for Crossroads Market is simple… you demanded it! Hometown Favorites began in the late 1990’s as a resource for displaced Northerners living in South Florida. These folks had left behind the treats and flavors of their local regions. When Hometown Favorites moved to the web in 1998 it began bringing people not only foods from back home but nostalgic candies that most people were not aware were still being made. America was hooked on a sweet tooth indulged, trip down memory lane.
The business grew at the lightning pace of the life on the internet and Hometown Favorites expanded the selection of items it offered to the public. What was once a couple hundred items ballooned in short order to thousands of items and almost every one of those items had one thing in common –a customer requested it. Hometown Favorites also introduced the Decade Box a collection of candies from specific eras. The Decade Box was quickly imitated but never duplicated.
The sheer size of our inventory and people’s desire to do business with companies they can trust is the real reason you have found www.Crossroads-Market.com today. We no longer can fit all our items in the three categories that existed on Hometown Favorites and still offer the ease of navigation we’ve always had. So here at Crossroads Market you will find the original three categories each as its own store: Regional and hard to find groceries at The Hard to Find Grocer, nostalgic candies at Hometown Favorites and unique gift ideas at The Grand Gift Emporium! We have also expanded our varieties of gifts beyond just gift baskets and boxes Now you can find NCAA licensed gifts, Children’s gifts, gaming, film collections, John Deere branded merchandise and more! We’ve added hard to find international items with the new Giuliano’s International Marketplace, Colombia’s finest coffee at Juan Valdez Café and coming soon a Wholesale shopping experience that will blow away your local club from C.M. Wholesalers.
Finally, all this great online shopping comes together in the same safe and secure shopping cart. That’s right. Shop at any of our stores, pick items from one, two, all of our stores and pay one time in one place at the end. All of our items currently ship from one place as well. No waiting for shipping from multiple warehouses. All of this backed by our no hassle refund policy on orders and a company you have trusted for more than ten years.
These six stores are just the beginning. We have plans for six more by year’s end and infinite additions beyond that.
We plan to be your first choice for fun, comfortable shopping right at your finger tips.
Welcome to the Crossroads Market. Enjoy.
